Development
For nearly a century, Associated Hebrew Schools has been at the
forefront of Jewish education. We remain leaders by providing a
top Jewish and General Studies education. We have the vision for
Jewish education, and our generous donors have the financial ability
to make our dreams for our children a reality. As the cost of Jewish
education escalates, we increasingly turn to our partners, donors
who share our vision, to help shoulder the burden.

We
are pleased to introduce Kadima
- the new ongoing programme of raising important funds for Associated.
Kadima means forward
in Hebrew and our new Annual Campaign provides stakeholders with
the opportunity to be partners in Associated's future. By contributing
to Kadima you will
help ensure that Associated continues to set the standard for Jewish
education in Toronto by providing the highest quality education
to the greatest number of children in our community.

We
constantly raise awareness of our achievements and challenges. We
seek to further the partnership with all members of the Associated
family, making students, parents, alumni, faculty, administration
and supporters all proud to be “Associated with Success”.
Thanks to the vision of thousands of benefactors, we are able to
continue to fulfill our mission of delivering excellence in education
to all Jewish children. For more information on any of the programs
listed, please contact Rella
Margolis at 416-494-7666 ext 261.
Associated provides several giving opportunities:
Scholarships
The Scholarship Fund forms the capital base of the Development Programme.
Established by donors many years ago, today, their children, grandchildren
and friends continue to contribute to these funds. Each year, a
committee of lay leaders, senior management and Principals decide
how to allocate these funds. Some of the programs supported through
the Scholarship Fund are:
Hebrew as a Second Language
Student Scholarships to study at approved schools in Israel
Teacher Training Awards to graduates who pursue a career in Jewish
education by enrolling in an approved programme in Israel.
Camp subsidies
The Associated Mutual Benefit Funds
A family of endowment funds comprised of The Independence Fund,
The Capital Growth Fund, and The Emerging Needs Fund. Contributors
establish a named, interest-bearing account in one of these funds.
The capital is invested in perpetuity. The interest on the account
is distributed in accordance with the fund parameters. A minimum
initial donation of $1,000 is required to establish an endowment
fund.
If you are interested in establishing your own endowment
fund or to make a donation, to honour someone, to commemorate a
special occasion or to pay tribute to a loved one, please contact
Rella Margolis, Development
Associate at 416-494-7666 ext 261.
For your convenience, you may print out and complete the on-line
donation form and return via fax, email or mail.
